Food from Heaven
CRF is feeding people all over the world. When a person lives hand to mouth in the first place, remaining in your house can seem like a death sentence.
Priscilla Wairimu, our CRF director in Kitale, Kenya, was recently out in the community delivering food to our sponsored children and their families. Unexpected food showing up on your doorstep in a pandemic is a sign of an unbelievable blessing.
When the mother of sponsored child Tews Nyambeki saw the food that CRF had delivered, she made this statement—“I have been away from the home all day looking for a job. No one would hire me because of the COVID-19 pandemic. CRF, you are a God send. We were going to go to sleep hungry today because we had no money to buy any food. You came from heaven.”
Tews’ mother rose to hug Priscilla and the CRF workers but stopped short of it. She remembered that she was supposed to keep a social distance. But she just couldn’t hide her joy. It was written on her face.
Priscilla, Tews’ mother, and grateful people all over the world want to thank you a trillion times for feeding children and families in this pandemic. CRF wants you to know that all of the children you sponsor (just like Tews) are being fed and helped during this crisis.
