In the past, sending our sponsored children to high school has been a difficult issue for CRF.  (Click this link to find out why.)

But this year CRF has been blessed to find solutions to our secondary education issues in Kenya. Our 3 largest programs in that country now have high schools for our sponsored children.  Here is some more information about our new schools!

– Suzy Peacock Memorial –

In Eldoret, CRF has just opened the doors to a brand new school, The Suzy Peacock Memorial High School. The school is equipped with dormitories for girls and boys so our sponsored children from all over the district will be able to attend.

The first classes admitted have extremely high scores in the National Exam. This raises the quality of the school and creates a demand in the local community. Suzy Peacock is also the site of our new WorldReader Program. You can read more about this unique program here.

The school principal is Madame Mourine Limo. She is an award- winning educator in Kenya and has the goal of establishing Suzy Peacock as the best school in the district!

– Oasis of Hope –

In Kisumu generous donors helped us purchase a 40% stake in Oasis of Hope, a local high school. Our investment helped build both boys’ and girls’ dormitories so we can take in students from outside of Kisumu. Oasis of Hope is the first choice for our Ring Road Ministry children as they complete the 8th grade.

We will be sending children here from some of our other Kenyan programs as well. Our partial ownership ensures that the sponsorship money you send is enough to pay for a high school education. Oasis of Hope is constantly improving its academic standing and our goal is to be ranked as a top-tier school in two years time.

Under Principal Haggai Kaderi’s leadership, the children are receiving a top-notch education in a Christian environment.

– Eruli High School –

In Bungoma, Emmanuel Namanyu is busy finishing the construction of our newest high school, Eruli High School. This school is located adjacent to our Eruli Primary School.

Many of you know the story of Emmanuel’s Kids. Most of Emmanuel’s Kids live at and attend the Eruli Primary School. In the past, the high school children had to attend boarding schools far away, but now they can stay in a safe, Christian environment while attending Eruli High School.

The children at Eruli have been orphaned by disease and war. This new high school is a wonderful sign of hope for them.

These children who once had no future now hope to obtain a high school diploma and break free from the chains of poverty!
